The Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary (MHRWS) is a UNESCO World Heritage and ASEAN Heritage-listed natural park. It is a sanctuary that provides home to diverse ecosystems and boasts a rich biodiversity.
It is the only protected forest noted for having the largest pygmy forest with century old trees growing atop basic ultramafic soil. Because of its distinct geological and environmental features, several species have adapted and evolved in order to thrive within its unique setting.
